Aylesbury High School raises £6,000 for Karibuni Children

At a meeting with members of the Sixth Form of Aylesbury High School, Chairman of Karibuni Children, John Cotton, was presented with a cheque for £6,000 by Head Girl, Alice Crafts.
The money was raised by the Sixth Form for its ‘Good Cause’ and by other students providing refreshments at school events throughout the last twelve months. In July of this year, while on a school trip to their link school in Kenya, a party of sixth formers on their return journey to Nairobi, visited two of the projects supported by Karibuni and saw for themselves what is being achieved.
Responding to the presentation, John Cotton said he was “bowled over” by the terrific sum which had been raised. It would make a big difference to the charity and the children it supports: for example it would cover the cost of educating thirty children at Secondary School for a year.
