Some information about us!
We formed the group about two years ago. We all enjoy singing and have many years experience between us of singing with various choirs, small groups and choral societies. We enjoy singing many types of songs from different eras and styles.
Since getting together we have sung at community parties, care homes, Bucks County Show dinner and Halton Fete. As well as performing we like to encourage audience participation by singing well known songs.
We put together our first concert last summer – an occasion for families and friends to get together for a picnic. Although we were rained off halfway through, we enjoyed it anyway! It was a wonderful venue! We have a video on You Tube showing some of our performance. http://www.hedgerleywood.org/high-octane/
We want to make our Musical Evening for Karibuni Children an informal, enjoyable celebration of songs and music from the 1920s and 1930s. We are using the Aylesbury Methodist Church community hall. The audience will sit around tables and can enjoy a soft drink and nibbles whilst we sing, with tea and cakes at the interval too. You might enjoy singing yourself!
Come along and join us. Help us to raise funds for the Karibuni Children to support their work with children in Kenya.
